19 months. And you’ve done a heck of a job growing Swyfft’s E&S Commercial Lines program in Florida. We know we’ve got some solid partners out there supporting us. Thank you.
Until now, it’s been our policy to allow agents to quote and bind any commercial account, even when another active quote existed for that risk. It worked then, but with the large volume of submissions we’re seeing today, which we love, we’re changing our practice.
Starting November 14, when an agent submits a commercial quote, that risk will be reserved for quoting and binding by that agent only. Quotes from other agents will be rejected. Existing quotes will automatically be reserved for its respective agent on November 14 as well.
While we’re in the neighborhood, let’s talk Agent of Record best practices.
- AOR Changes take place prior to binding on new business and at renewal on existing business. Never mid-term.
- Swyfft allows five business days for the insured to rescind their AOR Change. If it doesn’t happen, we assign the policy to the new AOR.
