E&S Home Program Provides a Market for Your Catastrophe Exposed Risks
Monday, we launched our E&S Home Program in Massachusetts. You’ll notice when quoting new business near the coast, many are now referring to our E&S Home Program.
Starting next week, we’ll begin remarketing existing admitted renewals in Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties into our E&S program.
Here’s how remarketing will work:
- Agents and customers in Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket county will receive a replacement offer of coverage through our E&S Home Program with a notice of non-renewal. We must include an official notice of non-renewal since we are placing the business with a different company.
- To accept the offer, policyholders will be instructed to contact you, their agent.
- You can review all E&S coverage options with the policyholder, giving you the opportunity to evaluate and customize the policy before you bind it.
- Most customers in Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties will receive a remarket offer. Those that do not are being non-renewed for other underwriting or inspection reasons.
Why the shift to E&S Home?
- The policy is built for catastrophe exposed homes. It specifically pinpoints the drivers of CAT loss and presents the homeowner with options and pricing that match. A tropical cyclone deductible, insurance scoring, and new roofing coverage options are great examples.
- It’s the responsible long game. It’s how we balance risk exposure, ensure rate adequacy and create stability. As reinsurance markets tighten, it’s how we continue to offer policies with minimal disruption.
If you have any questions about the E&S Home Program or the remarketing process, please contact your marketing rep directly. Thank you for your partnership.
