Past storms, fraud, litigation, and insolvency: these stories fill our industry headlines. Their impact has driven many Florida carriers to cut back or shut down writing coverage.  As that happens, new business submissions at Swyfft have spiked.

While growth is good, we’re committed to doing it responsibly.  This means staying vigilant about how fast we grow, managing capacity, and keeping a balanced portfolio. Long story short, we need to slow things down temporarily.

So, what does this mean for agents? To manage our growth, we are taking these temporary measures for our Homeowners Programs in Florida:

  • All new business will refer to our E&S Home Program. Until further notice, we will suspend binding of new business through our Admitted Home Program.
  • Existing admitted home quotes will be honored through April 18, unless set to expire before that date.

We’re committed to Florida and right now that means managing our growth in a way that’s least disruptive for you and insureds.  If you have any questions, please contact your marketing rep directly. We thank you for your partnership and understanding.
